About us:
The Evens Brutus Foundation Incorporated is a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting underprivileged children and families in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and the United States (Central Florida) through education, clean water, food security, and long-term community development.
We believe every child deserves access to quality education, basic health resources, nutritious food, and safe living conditions—along with the opportunity to grow in a nurturing, faith-based environment.
Founded by Evens Brutus, the Foundation was born out of a deep personal commitment to give back to communities in need. What began as providing school supplies has grown into a holistic mission focused on empowering families and building sustainable solutions.
Our programs include:
Educational support and scholarships
Clean water initiatives
Small-scale agriculture and family gardens
Livestock sharing programs (animal husbandry) to support long-term food security
Hygiene support and community health education
We work hand-in-hand with local communities, churches, and trusted partners to ensure programs are locally led, sustainable, and impactful. Our approach emphasizes long-term development rather than short-term relief, helping families become self-reliant while improving children’s futures.

Our Founder’s Story
From Receiving Help to Giving Hope
I grew up in Haiti and experienced poverty firsthand. I know what it means to have dreams while facing uncertainty about how to reach them. Along my school journey, people extended a helping hand. Their kindness helped me continue my education—and left a lasting mark on my life.
After high school, I went to college to study agronomy. As I learned about agriculture and community development, one dream remained close to my heart: to return and help others, just as others had helped me.
That dream became the Evens Brutus Foundation.
My faith is at the heart of this mission. It calls me to put compassion into action, serve with humility, and recognize the dignity of every person. Our foundation is faith-driven, and we welcome and serve people of all backgrounds and beliefs.
Today, our work connects Haiti, Central Florida, and the Dominican Republic through education support, essential resources, and community care. We cannot remove every hardship, but together we can help children and families find greater opportunity.
For me, this mission is personal. I have been the child who needed support. I have seen how someone’s generosity can open a door. Now, I am committed to helping open those doors for others.
Someone helped me keep going. My purpose is to help others do the same.
